Ancient City Inn - St. Augustine Florida

The Haunted Ancient City Inn

The History

Victorian home was built in 1910 by Charles and Maude Sequi. He was a descendant of the Minorcans who first came to St. Augustine in the 1700's.

The Hauntings

According to the inn's history, he Sequi family lived in and loved this home for nearly 80 years. For this reason, their "presence" is still felt here. Meet their only daughter "Martha Lee" who we call "the other lady of the house" and her friendly cat Toby. They are very active and playful spirits. Martha Lee voice is often heard on EVPs (electronic voice phenomena). The spirits like to shuffle jewelry around. If you want the most haunted room, ask for the “Martha Lee” room. (Martha Lee was the daughter of the home’s original owner.) The bed squeaks when no one is in it, and many people report feeling as though unseen hands tuck them into bed at night.

The inn’s owner is Lily Dale Spiritualist Medium Rev. Carri Donnan, offering spiritual counseling or regression therapy (if you wish) during your stay!
